Each activity is connected and regulated by a computer system that
is integrated to all projects and services that control the level
of stock, approval of work orders and update the performance of maintenance.
Information Technology
SBGOM Projects being geographically located all over
The Kingdom dictates a special Data Distribution/Contribution Strategy
that will provide efficient tools to various decisions makers in Operations
and upper Management. In this Sequence, a huge Infrastructure Network
LAN, WAN was built and implemented by our Information Technology (IT)
department. This Network binds our Head Office to all Projects where
interacting And browsing the Data Base Central can be achieved, either
from resident terminal within the Domain or from outside through our
Proxy Server.
Accordingly, E-Business Applications were implemented namely:
- ORACLE 11i ERP (Enterprise Recourse Planning) Financial, Distribution,
and Human Resources Management System.
- Maximo CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Integrated
With Oracle.
- In House Developed Applications using ORACLE 6i Forms and Reports
Builder.
- Microsoft outlook forms flowing accordingly to Visual Basic Language
Control.
- Electronic Archiving System KOVIS
The
IT Department, in continuous efforts to follow The Company
Quality Policies, A written Procedure was dedicated for this purpose.
The IT Quality Procedure establishes and highlights paths to be followed
depending on Internal Responsibilities and Existing Operational Structures.
IT is moving steadily according to the progressive changes, new demands
and challenges as acquired. Where Information security plays a relevant
and essential role, SBGOM Management opted to invest and be protected
against threats in order to ensure the division business continuity
and avoid damages from various form of security breach by adapting
the “Retention Of The Original British Standard Identifier”
BS 17799.
Computer Maintenance Management System
• One effective network is utilized to connect each maintenance
family to assure the efficient flow of information.
• In summary, the maintenance operation is decentralized while
control and development of maintenance are centralized.
